One of our clients is looking for a talented individual to lead their 3D Environment and Prop Artist team on a new mobile RPG forecast to become one of the biggest IPs in the world. 

In this role, you will provide guidance, feedback, and mentorship to ensure top-notch work. If you have a strong artistic vision, extensive experience with environment creation pipelines for mobile platforms and Unity, and proficiency in tools like Zbrush, Maya, Substance Painter, Marvelous Designer, and Rizom (or similar), this is it.

Responsibilities and Requirements

  • Inspire and Lead: Guide and manage a talented Environment and Prop Artist team, providing mentorship and constructive feedback.
  • Optimise Production: Develop innovative technical requirements and solutions to enhance 3D environment production.
  • Vision Collaboration: Work closely with the Art Director, game designers, and other team members to create a unified artistic vision for the game's environments.
  • Technical Integration: Partner with the Technical Art team to ensure seamless integration of 3D assets into the Unity engine.
  • Quality Enhancement: Conduct regular reviews, offering insightful feedback to both in-house and remote artists to elevate the quality of environment art.
  • Industry Savvy: Stay ahead of industry trends, techniques, and tools for environment modelling, texturing, and optimisation. Share this knowledge to drive continuous team improvement.

About You

  • Professional Experience: 2+ years as a Lead Environment Artist in game development.
  • Artistic Excellence: Demonstrated artistic vision with a compelling portfolio.
  • Technical Proficiency: Expertise in the Unity engine and mobile platform development.
  • Pipeline Mastery: In-depth knowledge of the entire environment creation pipeline for mobile platforms.
  • Software Expertise: Proficient in Zbrush, Maya, Substance Painter, Marvelous Designer, Rizom, or similar tools.
  • Task Management: Experience with task tracking tools such as Shotgrid, Hansoft, Redmine or similar.
  • Communication: Strong communication skills.
  • Language Proficiency: Upper intermediate level of English.
